GEVER Delivery Process to Swiss Federal Archives implemented successfully
Now that electronic data packets have successfully been transferred to the Swiss Federal Archives (SFA) as part of a pilot delivery, the Fabasoft eGov suite is the first software product to verifiably support the electronic delivery process – and thus the entire document life cycle.
The Swiss Federal Archives (SFA) are the Confederation’s service and competence center for lasting information management. They store archive-worthy records on federal tasks and provide, among other things, the safe and proper conservation and distribution of archive records.
By the end of 2011, the Federal Chancellery and the departments will shift all their business transactions to electronic form for a long-term conversion to digital documents. For this, the SFI had specified the requirements for the digital delivery of data packets to the archive as part of the specification, and Fabasoft had accordingly implemented the interface in the Fabasoft eGov Suite.
The system was tested in early November during a SFA pilot delivery, and the electronic delivery of the data to the archive was confirmed. The Fabasoft eGov Suite is thus the first software product to verifiably support electronic delivery – and thus the entire document life cycle – according to the SFA standard (specification Submission Information Package – SIP).
