Infodocum 2011 - Review

Infodocum took place from April 27 to 28 at Moscow Center, Ilinka 6. It is the leading event for document management and records management trends in the Russian Federation.

On April 27, Peter Rinzer, former head of the ELAK project at the Vienna Magistrate, presented the advantages of Fabasoft eGov-Suite during a plenary session. Using the example of the processing of a business registration free of media breaks, he showed the file editing process from entering the application by the customer on the website www.wien.gv.at to the internal processing down to the dual transmission to the recipients. Additionally, he offered an overview oft he introduction of electronic file processing in the city of Vienna as well as the transition process to an open source operating system and database – especially under consideration of applications in the Russian Federation, which has also decided to transition to an open source platform.
